As mentioned, we have equipped our scooter in the early morning.

The first day, we had a 500 km long route. 250 km were in Turkey, 250 km in Greece. And we had to cross the borders.

First we went to the border city Ipsala, then we took a break in Kavala (Greece) and then we reached to Asprovalta, which is a small city in 70 km distance to Thessaloniki.

We were punctual and met at 6 o'clock at Mahmutbey Tolls (Istanbul)

We were ready to start.

Before reaching to Ipsala, we took a break. Then we filled our tanks and reached to Ipsala. The sun was shining and it was getting hot.

SUGGESTION:
During the ride, we have taken breaks whether in every 100 kms or after one hour drive. That was very helpful, because we have never felt that we are really tired. In long routes we have organized our breaks as follows:

after first 1 hour or 100 kms 15 mins
after second 1 hour or 100 kms 15 mins
after third 1 hour or 100 kms 45 mins

and, right before reaching to the destination 5 minutes.

After reaching Ipsala border, we went through the first check point, but Mert was not behind us. Mert and Iglem came there 3-4 mins later.

He informed us that his plate was registered to a truck, so they had to change the registration on the computer. :))

Then we have learned that they don't have their company documents with them. The motorcycle was registered on the name of his company. So, we waited for getting the documents, which he asked his colleagues to fax them to the border registration office.

During this time, there was a great interest of our Georgian friends, we have met at the border. So, we have waited close to the motorcycles during the procedures. Because they were trying to get on the motorcycles and take photos. We helped them :)

We have crossed the borders as of 12 AM. Received all our red stamps :) the more, the better :) and realized our immigraton to Greece.

As we were at the Greek side, I have seen that my Europe Map at GPS was not responding. I tried to set it but I was not successful. I put the GPS to the front case and we reached to KAVALA....

After the break in Kavala, we have left the high way and started to ride from the coast way to Asprovalta.

As we reached to the hotel, we were a bit tired. Some relaxation, swimming and then we found a good restaurant.
