Our plan was riding to Freiburg via Heidelberg. We would be meeting Iglem and Mert, who have stayed only three days in Frankfurt in Freiburg and ride together the next day to Milan. The way back would be a bit shorter regarding time. From Milan to Ancona and Igoumenitsa with the ferry and after one night stay at Thessaloniki we planned to finalise our tour in Istanbul.
We left Frankfurt after the breakfast at 10 AM. The scooter has reached to 10.000 km. at Karlsruhe and we had never encountered a problem with it.
We first visited Heidelberg, the city with the oldest university of Germany.
After a coffee break in Heidelberg, we headed to Freiburg. As we reached our hotel, Iglem and Mert were already there and drinking their coffee. :)
The next morning we went to Milano. The Alps was again an adventure. As we were going to Frankfurt, we had a good weather, but we didn't know if it would be the same case on the way back.
Yes, we had a great weather and reached to Milano easily.
We had to find a secure place for the bikes before checking in to the hotels.
The hotel we have stayed was a residence and cost us 100 Euro per two persons. It was 5 mins far away from the Duomo. We have used our kitchen in the room very effectively. We have done our shopping from the market and bought different type of cheese, delicatessen and wine; and enjoyed them. So we could save money for a good dinner in the evening.
And the sightseeing... There is a lot to do in Milano. After the sightsseing we walked to Navigli for the dinner.
The food was great... :)
The next morning, we had to leave on time because our ferry from Ancona to Igoumenitsa was at 3 PM. This was the only day, we had a time constraint.
